• St. Nicholas icon could return to Florida after 100 years in Greece (cbs12.com) — Tarpon Springs may soon welcome home a historic St. Nicholas icon that left the city over a century ago, after Mayor John Koulianos located it in Aegina, Greece. The effort coincides with plans to formalize a Sister City relationship with Aegina during the 2027 Epiphany celebrations, further strengthening the community's deep Greek and Orthodox heritage.
   

• Missing Florida boater found dead in lake (newsnationnow.com) — A 22-year-old man reported missing on Lake Tarpon near Tarpon Springs was found dead Sunday morning after an extensive search by Pinellas County sheriff's marine and dive teams. Deputies say his boat was discovered abandoned Friday evening, and while the death appears accidental, the Medical Examiner will determine the official cause and manner.
   

• Ocala Post (Ocala News) - Two business owners find way to make the best of slow season (ocalapost.com) — Two neighboring shops on Tarpon Springs' Sponge Docks are turning slow season into a creative boost by filming playful social media videos right on Dodecanese Boulevard. The owners of Salty Sponge and Rebranding Earth say the lighthearted skits help keep energy up, build friendships, and give visitors a more personal, memorable experience at one of the city's most iconic waterfront districts.
