• Man arrested for raping homeless woman (alachuachronicle.com) — A man wanted in a Gainesville sexual battery case was taken into custody in Temple Terrace after allegedly giving a false name to a local police officer during a consensual encounter. Authorities say DNA evidence linked him to the reported 2025 assault, and a judge has now ordered that he be held without bail while the case moves toward trial.
