2. Vero Beach moves closer to rebuilding Humiston Beach boardwalk destroyed by Hurricane Nicole (wptv.com) — Vero Beach is moving ahead with plans to rebuild the Humiston Beach boardwalk, with construction targeted to start in November if a $1.6 million funding gap can be closed. 4. Churchill: 'He never stopped being a Troy boy' (timesunion.com) — A former Troy, New York councilmember who retired to Vero Beach is remembered for both a racist voicemail scandal and his earlier stand in favor of affordable housing.
