• $414,000 in Scholarships Awarded to More Than 60 High School Students From Big Brothers Big Sisters of Broward County (thewestsidegazette.com) — Several West Park high school seniors have just been awarded major college scholarships through Big Brothers Big Sisters of Broward County’s BIG Futures program, including full rides and Florida Prepaid plans. The celebration in Fort Lauderdale recognized more than 60 students countywide, but West Park teens stood out among the honorees, heading to schools like Florida A&M, FIU, Broward College, Miami Dade College, and Ana G. Méndez University.
