• 5th Annual Boo Bash Accepting Vendors, Sponsors In Alpharetta (patch.com) — Families in Alpharetta can look forward to the 5th Annual Boo Bash at Wills Park Grove this October, and organizers are now seeking vendors and sponsors. The Halloween-themed event will feature trick-or-treating, carnival games, a dance party, and Scarecrow Harvest Awards, with sponsors able to showcase scarecrows around town for several weeks.
   

• Developer to pitch Weatherford House plan to commission (appenmedia.com) — A long-neglected historic home on Canton Street in Alpharetta may finally get new life, as a developer plans to salvage and sell the Weatherford House as a private residence. The city's historic preservation commission will review the renovation plans and certificate of appropriateness on Sept. 10, with residents watching closely to see how much of the landmark's character is preserved.
