Roswell woman charged with cocaine possession after crash (appenmedia.com) — Alpharetta police responded to an Aug. 1 crash on Georgia 400 near Haynes Bridge Road and ended up arresting a Roswell woman on cocaine possession and obstruction charges. Officers reported finding suspected drugs and paraphernalia after noticing signs of intoxication and detaining her when she tried to walk away. She was taken to the Alpharetta Detention Center; DUI charges for the driver remain unclear.

The Hockey Barn Becomes NHL STREET Operator in Atlanta (youthsportsbusinessreport.com) — Families in Alpharetta now have a new, lower-cost way to get kids into hockey, as The Hockey Barn has become an official NHL STREET operator at its local facility. The program will offer intro classes and leagues without needing ice or expensive gear, expanding access for beginners while giving current youth players another training option. License Plate Lookups Exposed: How 'Have I Been Flocked' Pulls Back the Curtain on Police Surveillance (webpronews.com) — Alpharetta appears in newly shared internal affairs records tied to Flock Safety license plate searches, part of a broader transparency project called Have I Been Flocked. The site lets drivers see if law enforcement has manually queried their plate in Flock's camera network, raising fresh questions about surveillance, data misuse, and how local agencies handle audit logs. Residents can use the tool to check their own plates and better understand how often police search them.
