Nordstrom Opening New Discount Store In ATL: Here's Where

ATLANTA — Luxury department store retailer Nordstrom is opening a new discount store in the Atlanta area this fall as part of a nationwide expansion of its Nordstrom Rack brand.

The 25 new and future Nordstrom Rack stores are located in 15 states. Nordstrom Rack is the company's off-price retail chain and offers customers up to 70 percent off on apparel, accessories, beauty products, home decor and shoes from many of the top brands sold at Nordstrom, according to the company's website.

In Georgia, the new Nordstrom Rack will open Thursday, Oct. 29, at Atlantic Station in Atlanta.

The store will be located at 1380 Atlantic Drive NW, Suite 14325, Atlanta, GA 30363.

The new location will bring another discount shopping option to Atlantic Station, a mixed-use shopping, dining and entertainment destination in Midtown Atlanta.

Nordstrom Rack is marking its new store openings with pre-opening shopping parties featuring refreshments and discounts of up to 70 percent, along with grand-opening celebrations offering free gifts, coffee and a chance to win a $1,000 Nordstrom Rack gift card.

The company is accepting reservations for a pre-opening shopping party at the Atlantic Station location, allowing customers an opportunity to shop before the official opening.

According to Nordstrom Rack, its grand-opening sweepstakes are open to eligible shoppers 18 and older, with drawings beginning at 7 a.m. and a grand prize drawing at 8:45 a.m. on opening day. Participants must be present to win, and no purchase is necessary.

As shoppers increasingly prioritize value on fashion and home items, Nordstrom Rack has been central to the retailer's overall growth strategy, according to a Securities and Exchange Commission filing.

Even amid broader challenges facing department stores, the Rack chain has continued expanding into shopping centers and suburban communities.

Nordstrom currently operates more than 350 flagship, Nordstrom Local and Nordstrom Rack stores.
