1. GA Restaurant Makes Elite List Of America's Best By New York Times (patch.com) — Atlanta food lovers have a new point of pride as So. Fox, on North Highland Avenue, was named one of the 50 best restaurants in America by The New York Times. The list's scouts praised chef Myles Moody's inventive use of Southern ingredients and sommelier Rachael Pack's distinctive low-intervention wine program, spotlighting Atlanta's evolving fine-dining scene on a national stage.
   

2. Man Found Dead In ATL Restaurant Vent ID'ed: Report (patch.com) — Atlanta authorities have identified the man found dead inside a restaurant kitchen vent on Cleveland Avenue Southwest as 37-year-old Terrika Myers. Police and Atlanta Fire Rescue say he was discovered stuck above the frying station with no signs of foul play, and the cause of death remains undetermined as investigators continue their work.
   

3. Atlanta water audit finds nearly $236 million in outstanding balances, council demands answers (11alive.com) — Atlanta officials are grappling with nearly $236 million in unpaid water bills, with about a quarter of active accounts delinquent and some large businesses among those owing money. City Council members say the shortfall threatens efforts to fix aging pipes and services, and they're demanding biweekly progress reports and a stronger collections plan from the Watershed Department.
   

4. Dickens wants accountability for Atlanta's automated license plate readers (griffindailynews.com) — Atlanta Mayor Andre Dickens is pushing new rules to tighten oversight of the city's automated license plate readers, after statewide misuse cases raised privacy concerns. Atlanta police have flagged 79 incidents for review, and Dickens plans to bring a proposal to City Council this month that would add audits, data-retention standards, and independent oversight to protect both safety and privacy.
   

5. Metro Atlanta nonprofit helps Latino families build pathways to success (wsbtv.com) — A long-running nonprofit, La Amistad, is helping Latino families across metro Atlanta with after-school tutoring, parent education, and college guidance programs that have supported more than 28,000 people. Former students who are now college graduates have returned as staff and mentors, and the group is marking its 25th anniversary with a Fiesta gala to fund future services.
