Dickens wants accountability for Atlanta's automated license plate readers (griffindailynews.com) — Atlanta Mayor Andre Dickens is pushing new rules to tighten oversight of the city's automated license plate readers, after statewide misuse cases raised privacy concerns. Atlanta police have flagged 79 incidents for review, and Dickens plans to bring a proposal to City Council this month that would add audits, data-retention standards, and independent oversight to protect both safety and privacy.

Metro Atlanta nonprofit helps Latino families build pathways to success (wsbtv.com) — A long-running nonprofit, La Amistad, is helping Latino families across metro Atlanta with after-school tutoring, parent education, and college guidance programs that have supported more than 28,000 people. Former students who are now college graduates have returned as staff and mentors, and the group is marking its 25th anniversary with a Fiesta gala to fund future services.
