Meta agrees to new teen safety protections in deal with 48 states (atlantanewsfirst.com) — Reporting from Atlanta, officials say Meta has agreed to stronger teen protections on Facebook and Instagram and will pay Georgia about $100 million as part of a multistate deal. A Georgia Tech professor and a state senator stress that consistent standards and real safeguards are needed so young people aren't harmed or simply pushed to other platforms.
