Police searching for critical missing 76-year-old Atlanta man (fox5atlanta.com) — Atlanta police are urgently asking residents to help find 76-year-old Lewis Bell, who disappeared Saturday from his home on Sylvan Road and lives with schizophrenia and memory issues. Neighbors are asked to watch for his described clothing and appearance and call 911 or APD immediately with any information.
   

2. 4 indicted after body of Atlanta man found in Douglas County reservoir (11alive.com) — Authorities have indicted four people in the killing of Jamal Parker, an Atlanta man whose body was found in Douglas County's Dog River Reservoir earlier this summer. Investigators say the 37-year-old bartender and artist was killed in mid-May, and friends and family in Atlanta are remembering his impact on the community.
   

3. Outgoing Indian Consul General Headed to Africa as Ambassador (globalatlanta.com) — Atlanta is being positioned as a key hub for India–U.S. trade, travel, and technology, with a long-sought nonstop Delta flight to Delhi expected next year. Outgoing Indian Consul General Ramesh Babu Lakshmanan says the region's growing business buzz, strong diaspora, and partnerships with groups like the Metro Atlanta Chamber are setting up deeper economic ties.
   

4. Meta agrees to new teen safety protections in deal with 48 states (atlantanewsfirst.com) — Reporting from Atlanta, officials say Meta has agreed to stronger teen protections on Facebook and Instagram and will pay Georgia about $100 million as part of a multistate deal. A Georgia Tech professor and a state senator stress that consistent standards and real safeguards are needed so young people aren't harmed or simply pushed to other platforms.
