• Storm damage in southeast Atlanta leaves hundreds without power (atlantanewsfirst.com) — Hundreds of Georgia Power customers in southeast Atlanta's Thomasville Heights area were still without electricity Sunday after powerful overnight storms toppled trees onto homes, garages, and power lines near Atlanta Youth Academy. Neighbors described frightening winds, water damage inside homes, and are now checking on elderly residents and helping each other cope while crews work to restore service.
