Officer Injured In Shooting While Responding To Mental Health Call: APD (patch.com) — Atlanta residents are learning more about a tense Monday morning incident where police say an armed man shot an APD officer and a woman inside a southwest Atlanta home during a mental health call. The officer, assigned to Zone 4, and the woman were both taken to Grady Memorial Hospital and reported alert and breathing, while Mayor Andre Dickens and Chief Darin Schierbaum emphasized the swift response and pending charges against the suspect.
   

2. 2 Missing Sisters Located, Babysitter Taken Into Custody In Atlanta (patch.com) — Atlanta police say two young sisters reported missing after their babysitter failed to return them Saturday night have been safely located in a trailer on Sylvan Road, thanks largely to cell phone data. The case triggered a statewide Levi's Call and led to the babysitter's custody at APD headquarters, prompting Atlanta authorities to urge parents to thoroughly vet anyone watching their children.
   

3. Atlanta City Council stalls data center task force proposal as mayor plans strategy group (roughdraftatlanta.com) — Atlanta City Council has hit pause on a proposed data center task force while Mayor Andre Dickens advances a separate strategy group, creating tension over how to regulate new facilities in the city. Council member Kelsea Bond and others want a unified, public process to weigh environmental, utility, and public health impacts of data centers, especially as opposition grows in southwest Atlanta and Adair Park.
   

4. Fifth show added for Usher, Chris Brown at Atlanta's Mercedes-Benz Stadium (fox5atlanta.com) — Usher and Chris Brown have expanded their R&B Tour stop at Atlanta's Mercedes-Benz Stadium to a record-setting five nights, with a newly added Nov. 5 show and a date shift to Nov. 6. Several dates are already sold out, but limited tickets remain and new presale and general sale windows give Atlanta fans another shot at seats.

Buckhead's Post 140 sponsors teens at summer program (fultonneighbor.com) — Buckhead's American Legion Post 140 helped a record 19 metro Atlanta teens attend Georgia Boys State and Girls State this summer, far exceeding typical participation. Local rising seniors from the north Atlanta area spent a week at Valdosta State University learning how government works through hands-on, leadership-focused simulations.
