WNBA 1st Round Playoffs Set As ATL Dream Scores Home-Court Advantage (patch.com) — Atlanta basketball fans can gear up as the Dream host the Washington Mystics at State Farm Arena this Sunday to open their best-of-three WNBA first-round playoff series. After a strong 30-14 season and a key win over New York, Atlanta secured home-court advantage, with Game 1 in Atlanta and a potential decisive Game 3 also set for home. Forward Angel Reese was recognized among the league's top performers, adding star power to the Dream's playoff push.
   

2. Airport sewer spill affecting Flint River health, tests show (wsbtv.com) — A major sewage spill from Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport has heavily contaminated the Flint River, a key drinking water source just south of Atlanta, with E. coli levels far above safe limits. Environmental advocates warn that repeated spills at the world's busiest airport could threaten both recreation and drinking water quality for hundreds of thousands of metro Atlanta residents downstream.
   

3. Where did the money go? AG sues charity spotlighted by Channel 2 (wsbtv.com) — Georgia's attorney general, based in Atlanta, is suing SDG Impact Fund and its CEO, alleging they mishandled donor money and spent it on personal luxuries instead of promised charities. The state is asking a Fulton County judge to shut down the nonprofit, appoint a receiver, and try to recover funds, a move Atlanta-area donors will want to watch closely.
   

4. Spelman, Clark Atlanta among 24 schools awarded Home Depot c... (theatlantavoice.com) — Clark Atlanta University is using a Home Depot-funded grant to transform its Mass Media Arts lobby into a modern hub where students can study, collaborate, and produce podcasts, TV, and radio. Leaders say the upgraded space will help attract future Panthers and better prepare current students for media careers, while similar innovation lounges and labs are being created at other campuses nationwide.
