• John Edwin ‘Buddy' Vickers III (theblacksheartimes.com) — Blackshear residents are mourning the passing of 71-year-old John Edwin “Buddy” Vickers III, a longtime Pierce County businessman and computer helper whose family still lives in Blackshear. Visitation is set for Saturday evening at Pearson-Dial Funeral Home, where friends are invited to share memories; memorialization will be by cremation, and donations may be made to Allmon’s All About Animals in Blackshear.
