• Prince Avenue dedicates new worship center with focus on God's presence (christianindex.org) — Prince Avenue Baptist Church in Bogart has opened a new 1,800-seat worship center on its U.S. 78 campus, a debt-free project leaders say fulfills a decades-long vision for ministry growth. The church, which also hosts Prince Avenue Christian School, has tripled in attendance under Pastor Josh Smith and is using the expanded space to welcome more families, college students, and neighbors from across Oconee County. 
• Uber driver arrested on Arkansas warrants (onlineathens.com) — Oconee County deputies recently recovered a stolen Ford F-150 left in the parking lot of North Oconee Animal Hospital on Talus Street in Bogart, after learning it had been taken from a Tennessee business.
