• City Of Dalton Dedicates Lon McCamy Alley (chattanoogan.com) — Dalton officials have renamed Mason-Dixon Alley as Lon McCamy Alley, honoring a Black resident lynched near the Whitfield County Jail in 1936. City leaders, local advocates, and McCamy's descendants gathered Saturday to acknowledge this painful history and reshape how Dalton's public spaces tell the community's story.
