• CAC gala raises $500K to keep families housed and fed (appenmedia.com) — Families in Dunwoody are among those benefiting from the Community Assistance Center's recent gala, which raised $500,000 to prevent evictions and fight hunger. The Sandy Springs-based nonprofit's three-year, $18 million Compassion in Action campaign targets growing needs in Sandy Springs, Dunwoody, and Doraville areas served by Dunwoody schools, funding food distribution, eviction prevention, and workforce development programs like its Thrive career initiative.
