• Thornton Wilder Estate to Launch ‘The Long Christmas Dinner Festival' (americantheatre.org) — Tri-Cities High School in East Point is among more than 30 venues nationwide staging Thornton Wilder’s one-act The Long Christmas Dinner as part of a new holiday festival this November and December. Local students will join a national lineup that includes major theaters and schools, giving East Point residents a chance to see a classic family-centered play close to home.
   

• OBITUARY: William D "Sonny" or "Bill" Potts, Jr (kirksvilledailyexpress.com) — William D. “Sonny” Potts Jr., who once ran Potts Air Engineers in East Point installing and servicing air conditioners across metro Atlanta, has died at 95. A Georgia Tech graduate, Army engineer officer, and later campus utilities manager, he and his wife Wynelle raised their family in College Park before retiring out of state.
