โข 75-year-old woman shot while delivering food identified (fox5atlanta.com) โ East Point police have identified 75-year-old Dorothy Gordon as the volunteer shot while helping distribute food on Washington Road Wednesday morning, and she remains hospitalized. Detectives are still searching for whoever opened fire and are urging anyone who saw or heard anything to contact Crime Stoppers, where anonymous tips could earn a cash reward for information leading to an arrest.

โข College Park officials sued over Georgia transparency laws (fultonneighbor.com) โ A Georgia Senate candidate whose district includes East Point has sued several College Park officials, accusing them of holding effectively closed meetings and withholding public records in violation of state transparency laws. While the case centers on College Park, the outcome could shape how open local governments must be across District 36, which also covers East Point and nearby communities.
