• Gwinnett County's newest city considers creating its own police department (wgauradio.com) — Mulberry residents in Gwinnett County may soon decide whether to replace county police coverage with a new city police department funded by existing tax dollars. A city committee is weighing costs, tax impacts, and alternatives, and any change would go to voters in a future referendum while Gwinnett County Police continue handling 911 calls for now.
