📰 News we're reading
• Speed detection system generates revenue, but questions loom (jacksonprogress-argus.com) — Jackson’s school-zone speed cameras have generated over $81,000 so far, funding new crosswalk and sidewalk safety upgrades around Jackson High School and nearby facilities. A mis-set speed limit at Stark Elementary means tickets from July 31–Aug. 10 will be voided and refunded, while new state law will soon force Jackson voters to decide the cameras’ future in a local referendum.
