1. Town Center Community to Host Fifth Annual State of the District on Oct. 27 (metroatlantaceo.com) — Kennesaw-area residents can join Town Center Community's fifth annual State of the District on Oct. 27 at Governors Gun Club in Kennesaw, where leaders will unveil a 30-year vision master plan and honor local champions. Proceeds support new trails, parks, and greenspace projects, including a planned four-acre park at the Barrett Lakes Boulevard roundabout.
   

2. KSU adds new buses, more parking spaces for Fall 2026 semester (kennesaw.edu) — Kennesaw State students and staff will see major transportation upgrades this fall, including four new buses, streamlined shuttle routes, and nearly 300 additional parking spaces on the Kennesaw Campus. A new economy lot on Gutenberg Drive, real-time tracking via Passio GO!, and free CobbLinc rides from campus aim to cut wait times and ease daily commuting between Kennesaw and Marietta.
   

3. Health inspection scores for Cobb County restaurants and other food services from August 7 to August 13 (cobbcountycourier.com) — Ruth's Chris Steak House on Chastain Road in Kennesaw recently scored an 82 on its August 11 health inspection, giving locals a timely look at its food-safety record. The countywide report also lists dozens of other restaurant scores across Cobb, from fast food to fine dining, so you can quickly compare how your regular spots are doing.
   

4. 47 New Cobb County Businesses Include Restaurants and Retail (cobbcountycourier.com) — Several newly licensed Cobb County businesses list Kennesaw addresses, including brokers on Roberts Boulevard and Shiloh Road plus an art studio on Guibor Court. The county's latest report highlights 47 new licenses overall, ranging from restaurants and coffee shops to construction, fitness, and professional services. Kennesaw residents may spot new options for concrete work, art classes, and brokerage services nearby.
