• LaGrange store clerk pulls gun on would-be robber; suspect sought (wtvm.com) — LaGrange police are asking residents to help identify a man who tried to rob Fuller’s Superette on Hamilton Road Wednesday morning, but fled when the clerk drew a gun. Investigators say the suspect wore sunglasses and dark clothing and left after retrieving his demand note. Anyone who recognizes him is urged to call LaGrange police. 
• Troup baseball to host second consecutive Final Four (lagrangenews.com) — Troup High’s baseball team in LaGrange is hosting Peach County in a home Final Four series, with a return trip to the AAA state championship on the line. With strong recent pitching from Jake Perry and Chase Mosley, the defending champs are leaning on experience and home-field energy at Tiger Field for this week’s decisive games.
