• Mableton accepts $240,000 Safe Streets and Roads grant (cobbcountycourier.com) — Mableton has secured a $240,000 federal Safe Streets and Roads for All grant, which the city will match with $60,000 to fund a comprehensive safety action plan. City leaders say consultants will study dangerous intersections and corridors across Mableton, aiming to unlock future millions for fixes that reduce crashes, injuries, and deaths on local roads. 
• Things to do this weekend in Cobb County: Friday May 29 to Sunday, May 31 (cobbcountycourier.com) — If you’re staying close to home, Mableton Day Festival takes over Mableton Town Square County Park today with free admission, live entertainment, food, vendors, and kids’ activities. Around Cobb, you can also hit farmers markets, a pollinator celebration, an opera performance, and a regional goalball tournament running through Sunday.

What your neighbors are talking about on social media
- In preparation for Mableton Day next Saturday, the Historic Mableton Crew along with help from the Austell Community Taskforce, Friends of Mableton and South Cobb Lions Club removed 16 bags of litter prior to the hard rain that drenched us.
The whole downtown area of Mableton should look good for Mableton Day. (Nextdoor Grainger Hills Estates) - Breakfast and Lunch for the kiddos during the summer vacay.
