• Pilot Hospitalized After Plane Leaving Falcon Field Crashes in Morgan County (thecitizen.com) — A small Pitts Special S-1 plane crashed in a field near Madison on September 29, downing power lines and temporarily closing Dixie Highway at Shoals Court while emergency crews responded. The pilot, who had departed Peachtree City’s Falcon Field for a private Madison-area airstrip, was airlifted to Grady Memorial Hospital with head injuries and is reported to be recovering as federal investigators review the crash.
