Officials say at least one lane will stay open each way, but drivers are urged to plan extra time or use I-95 or the Houlihan Bridge while work continues toward a 2026 construction phase.

Police silent on $90,000 BMW theft from Savannah hotel valet (wjcl.com) — A luxury BMW was stolen from the Hyatt Regency's valet in downtown Savannah, and nearly a month later police still haven't publicly identified a suspect. Another similar valet-related theft occurred less than a mile away, raising concerns for visitors and prompting the Hyatt and its third-party valet operator to review and tighten security procedures.
