Man Found Dead In Vacant Grocery Stored ID'ed
Police have identified the man they say was found dead in a closed grocery store in Cobb County, and foul play is suspected in his death.
VININGS, GA — Police have identified the man recently found dead in a vacant grocery store in Vinings.
Cobb County Police on Wednesday said James Connell, 43, was found dead around 10 a.m. Thursday in the building in the 3300 block of Cobb Parkway Southeast.
The building was once home to a grocery store that closed in 2024, police said.

A maintenance worker was checking for a possible water leak when they found Connell's body, police said.
The Cobb County Medical Examiner's Office arrived and pronounced him dead, police said. A manner and cause of death were not revealed.
Foul play is suspected in his death, police said. Police have not released suspect details or say if anyone has been arrested in connection with the case.
