1 Dead, 1 In Custody In Austell Shooting
Police asked anyone with information on a deadly shooting in Austell to contact investigators.
AUSTELL, GA β A person is dead after a shooting Sunday in the 4000 block of Brightmore Drive, Austell Police said.
The deadly incident happened around 6:30 a.m. Police said when officers arrived, they found a person suffering from a gunshot wound.
The person was taken to a local hospital, where they were later pronounced dead, police said. They did not identify the person.

A suspect has been taken into custody, police said; but, officers did not say if any charges have officially been filed in the case.
Details were limited Monday. A motive was not revealed, and details that led to the shooting were not immediately known.
