• New Stone Mountain mural celebrates unity, diversity (decaturish.com) — A new mural called "We Met in the Middle" now brightens Main Street in downtown Stone Mountain, celebrating the city's diversity and sense of unity. Created by artist Charity Hamidullah on the wall of Stoned Pizza Kitchen, the piece is part of the city's growing mural program supported by the Downtown Development Authority and City Council, aiming to reshape how visitors see Stone Mountain. 
• 13th Hour Haunted House in Wharton makes USA TODAY's best list (nj.com subscription) — Stone Mountain's own Netherworld Haunted House has been named among the top haunted attractions in the country by USA TODAY's 10Best panel. While the feature spotlights a New Jersey haunt, Netherworld's inclusion puts a national spotlight on Stone Mountain just ahead of the fall haunt season.
• Georgia rapper sold fraud tutorials, stolen checks, feds say (fox5atlanta.com) — A Stone Mountain resident and rapper has been sentenced to six years in federal prison for a large-scale check fraud scheme that used social media and tutorials to recruit others. Prosecutors say he altered stolen checks and deposited them around metro Atlanta, while also selling fraud guides and images of stolen checks, drawing a multi-agency federal investigation.
