• The Eagles Are Landing: Georgia Southern to host Operation Move-In for record-breaking freshman class Friday (griceconnect.com) — Swainsboro will see an influx of Georgia Southern students Friday as Operation Move-In brings a record freshman class to the East Georgia Campus here and to other university sites. With more than 6,500 freshmen and nearly 33,900 students expected overall, volunteers will help families settle in, kickstarting The Eagle Experience orientation events before classes begin Wednesday, August 19.
