• Tybee Island City Council recap: Short term rentals, Memorial Park, first responder drone (wsav.com) — Tybee’s city council just approved new short-term rental rules that divide the island into four sectors with different limits, taking effect January 1, 2027. Council also heard passionate debate over including Tybee Island Maritime Academy in the Memorial Park plan and approved a trial emergency-response drone that can quickly deliver lifesaving gear like EpiPens and flotation devices.
