• CRB Detected on Molokai 2 Beetles Found in Different Locations (themolokaidispatch.com) — Coconut rhinoceros beetles have been detected for the first time on Molokai, including one trapped near Malama Park by Kaunakakai Wharf, raising serious concern for local coconut and hala trees. State and island invasive-species teams are ramping up traps and urging residents to check green waste for large white grubs, avoid moving decomposing material, and report any suspicious larvae or beetles immediately.

• MPD: Molokai man, 69, dead after dog attack (staradvertiser.com) — A 69-year-old Kaunakakai man, identified as Sylvester Apiki, died after an apparent dog attack at a Hoomalu Drive home on Molokai Tuesday around noon. First responders tried life-saving measures but were unsuccessful, and the dog was euthanized under state dangerous-dog laws. Police report no signs of foul play, and the investigation is continuing.
