• USGS Volcano Notice - DOI-USGS-HVO-2026-06-11T18:08:04+00:00 (usgs.gov) — Kīlauea is currently quiet, but scientists expect the next lava-fountaining episode between June 13 and 15, which could again send ash and Pele’s hair toward Volcano-area neighborhoods. Episode 48 already dropped fine material in Mauna Loa Estates, ʻŌhiʻa Estates, Volcano village, and Royal Hawaiian Estates. Residents should stay alert to vog, tephra, and changing conditions as HVO closely monitors the summit.
