• Pu‘u Wa‘awa‘a Forest Reserve, Pu‘u Anahulu Game Management Area 2026 hunting seasons approach : Big Island Now (bigislandnow.com) — Hunters from Waimea and across the island can soon apply for youth, disabled, and makai muzzleloader seasons at Puʻu Waʻawaʻa and Puʻu Anahulu, with hunts running through October. All hunters must check in via stations or the Outerspatial app, follow tagging rules for sheep, and note that camping is banned in the hunting areas.
