• Near-collision leaves fire truck flipped upside down in Whitman County (dailydispatch.com) — A fire truck dispatched from Deary flipped onto its roof Wednesday evening after swerving off State Route 27 in Whitman County to avoid an oncoming car that crossed the center line. The truck rolled into a field between Oakesdale and Garfield, and Washington State Patrol reports that, fortunately, no one was injured.
