• Meridian Woman Arrested After Nampa Pickup Incident Leaves One Dead (dailyfly.com) — A Meridian woman has been arrested after a Nampa pickup incident in which a 46-year-old man later died, and three children riding in the truck’s bed were left uninjured. Nampa police say the man fell from the moving pickup after it accelerated instead of slowing when something was dropped, and the driver now faces aggravated DUI and child injury charges as the investigation continues. 
• Man hospitalized after accidentally shooting himself in Meridian, police say (ktvb.com) — Meridian Police say a man is in critical condition after accidentally shooting himself in the head near Eagle Road and Fairview Avenue late Tuesday night. Officers secured the area, detained and interviewed nearby individuals out of caution, and report there is no ongoing threat to public safety while the investigation continues.
