Local residents should note additional hearings scheduled this summer as attorneys prepare and new motions are expected in the Fruitland-area case.
   

• Police: Oregon man arrested after 'intentionally' crashing into patrol car near Payette courthouse (kivitv.com) — A reckless driving incident that started in Fruitland ended near the Payette County Courthouse, briefly putting Payette Primary School on lockdown before deputies arrested a 41-year-old Oregon man. Investigators say he repeatedly drove through the courthouse lot and then reversed into a sheriff’s patrol car before being taken into custody without injuries. Felony charges have been filed and the case remains under investigation.
