'Life-Threatening' Swimming Conditions: Chicago Area Weekend Weather

The weather service said a "backdoor front may lead to rip currents along the Illinois shoreline of Lake Michigan on Saturday."

A "warm and dry pattern" will continue through the end of the month, and dangerous swimming conditions are also expected on Saturday, according to the National Weather Service.

The high of Friday will be 85 degrees, 82 on Saturday, and 81 degrees on Sunday. The entire weekend looks to remain sunny and dry. Temperatures will stay cooler at the lake with highs in the 60s, according to the weather service.
