• 1,277-acre Illinois Farm Sells in 22 Tracts for $10.5 Million (agriculture.com) — A 1,277-acre farm near Albion and West Salem just sold for $10.5 million after being split into 22 tracts, most of which went to local farmers. The sale highlights the continuing strength of Edwards County farmland values and suggests much of this ground will stay in local production or be rented to nearby producers. It’s a significant shift in land ownership right on Albion’s doorstep.

• Randy Spray (74) of Greenup - Effingham's News and Sports Leader, 979XFM and KJ Country 102.3 (thexradio.com) — Family and friends are mourning 74-year-old Randy Spray of Greenup, whose surviving brother John lives in Albion and whose funeral will be held Friday at Marion Christian Church near West Salem. Visitation is Thursday evening in Toledo, with burial at Marion Cemetery and memorials suggested to several Christian ministries. His life reflected deep faith, service, and dedication to family.
