OSFM Announces Local Fire Departments Grants (stauntonstartimes.com) — Alton Fire Department is receiving $18,452 from Illinois’ Small Equipment Grant Program, part of $6 million awarded statewide to help departments buy essential gear. Several neighboring Madison County departments, including East Alton, Godfrey, Roxana, and Bethalto, are also getting funding to upgrade equipment and support local emergency response.
