• Federal Jury in Chicago Convicts Engineer for Stealing Trade Secrets from Philips Medical Systems on Behalf of Chinese Competitor (justice.gov) — An Arlington Heights man, a former Philips engineer, has pleaded guilty to possessing stolen medical imaging trade secrets in a federal case centered on a Chicago-area facility. His co-worker was just convicted at trial, and both now face upcoming sentencings in federal court. The case highlights how local engineers were allegedly recruited to help a Chinese competitor using confidential X-ray technology.
