• Driver who collided with Metra train in Barrington dies of his injuries (dailyherald.com) — A driver has died after his car was struck by a Metra Union Pacific Northwest Line train at a crossing near Northwest Highway and Hart Road in Barrington. He was taken to Advocate Good Shepherd Hospital in Barrington with critical injuries and died Friday, while passengers and crew were unhurt and train service resumed later that afternoon after major delays.
