• Illinois Woman Steals Police Car After Being Arrested (967theeagle.net) — Bartonville police say a Peoria woman briefly escaped custody by driving off in a Bartonville squad car after first being arrested in connection with a crashed SUV. Officers later found the abandoned vehicle and, with help from a witness, located and re-arrested the suspect nearby. No injuries or damage in Bartonville beyond the crash and vehicle theft are reported.
