Batavia High School alum makes dean’s list at NYU
Dylan Rhodes, from Batavia, is a Dean’s List Scholar at New York University. He is a Class of 2021 graduate of Batavia High School. He is a rising junior studying neural science.

Batavia student earns University of Nebraska-Lincoln degree

Cory James Marcinkus of Batavia was among a record 3,669 graduates who received degrees from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln during commencement exercises May 19 and 20.
Marcinkus earned a Bachelor of Arts from the College of Arts and Sciences.
The graduates are from 59 countries; 47 states, the District of Columbia and Guam; and more than 240 Nebraska communities.

Batavia resident makes dean’s list at Worcester Polytechnic Institute
Worcester Polytechnic Institute (WPI) has announced that Batavia native Ryan McQuillan, a member of the class of 2026 majoring in Biomedical Engineering, was named to the university's Dean's List for academic excellence for the spring 2023 semester.

Augustana College awards degrees to Batavia students
Augustana College recognized 624 participants at the college's 163rd commencement ceremony Saturday, May 27. CNN Hero Nelly Cheboi '16 delivered the commencement address.
The Class of 2023 is the most diverse class in Augustana's 163-year history, with graduates hailing from 20 countries including the United States and 24 U.S. states.
Those recognized included:

- Angel Cruz from Batavia, Ill., (60510) studied Biology.
- John Le from Batavia, Ill., (60510) studied Political Science and Philosophy.
- Paige Lundborg from Batavia, Ill., (60510) studied Biology and Environmental Studies.
- Jessica Mangers from Batavia, Ill., (60510) studied Psychology.
- Meghan Walsh from Batavia, Ill., (60510) studied Pre-medicine and Neuroscience.
