• Thunderstorm burst downs trees, causes power outages (beverlyreview.net) — Thousands of Beverly homes and businesses lost power after violent June 10 thunderstorms ripped through the 19th Ward, toppling more than 100 trees and limbs. As of Thursday morning, crews had addressed only a fraction of 185 tree emergencies and dozens of malfunctioning traffic signals, leaving many neighborhood streets still littered with debris and ongoing repair work.
