(thefestivalvoice.com) — A major one-day music festival, Summer’s Last Dance, is set for Sept. 19 in Bridgeview, bringing three stages, 20-plus artists and 12 hours of music to close out summer. Founded by Chicago promoter Bobby De Maria, the event also raises money for the Miracle Michael Fund and other charities, blending big-name electronic and hip-hop acts with a strong community and philanthropic focus. 
• 31 events in Chicago this weekend and beyond (axios.com) — Bridgeview is in the spotlight this weekend as Summer Smash 2026 brings three days of hip-hop to SeatGeek Stadium, headlined by Chief Keef, Lil Uzi Vert, Skrillex and Playboi Carti. It’s one of dozens of Chicago-area festivals, art shows and community events happening over the next week, offering plenty of options if you’re planning to head into the city or nearby suburbs.
• Chicago battered by storms with more bad weather ahead (audacy.com) — Severe storms around Chicago have knocked out power, toppled trees and even closed the Cook County Courthouse in Markham, forcing some cases to be shifted to the Bridgeview Courthouse. Residents with pending court dates should double-check their case status as more bad weather is expected and some hearings have been continued until June 25.
