• Eiu students secure teaching residencies across Illinois (jg-tc.com) — Catlin will host an Eastern Illinois University special education teaching resident, Jennifer Byers, during the 2026–27 school year, bringing extra support into local classrooms. EIU is placing 90 graduate students in yearlong residencies across Illinois, giving districts like Catlin access to well-prepared future teachers while helping the state address ongoing educator shortages.
