• KC Hosts Summer Sports Camps for Athletes of All Ages (wgel.com) — Families with young athletes in and around Centralia can sign up now for Kaskaskia College’s June and July sports camps, all held on the main campus in town. Kids from kindergarten through 12th grade can train with KC coaches and players in several sports, build confidence with collegiate-level drills, and take home a camp T-shirt.
   

• 2026 06/13 – Sherrie Cunningham-White (southernillinoisnow.com) — Centralia friends and neighbors are invited to honor longtime resident Sherrie Cunningham-White at a celebration of life Monday, June 15, 2026, 4 p.m. at Sutherland-Garnier Funeral Home on North Sycamore. Born and raised in Centralia, Sherrie returned here after years in Louisiana, working at Westside Laundry and cherishing time with her large family, great-grandchildren, and many local friends.
