Fall is officially here in Channahon, and there’s no shortage of ways to make the most of it. From festivals and farmers markets to pumpkin patches, live music and other seasonal fun, October brings plenty of reasons to get out and enjoy what’s happening close to home.

Heap’s Giant Pumpkin Farm

When: Open daily, 10 a.m. to 6:30 p.m.
Where: 4853 US Highway 52, Minooka

Make the most of fall at Heap’s Giant Pumpkin Farm in Minooka, where families can pick pumpkins from a 25-acre patch, explore a corn maze, visit farm animals and take a hayride through the property. The farm is open daily from 10 a.m. to 6:30 p.m., with seasonal food, playgrounds and a haunted corn maze adding even more to the experience.

Dollinger Family Farm

When: Open daily, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Where: 7420 East Hansel Road, Channahon

Spend an autumn day at Dollinger Family Farm in Channahon, open Sept. 14 through Oct. 30, 2026. Admission and parking are free, with pumpkins, farm animals and play areas to explore, while activities such as the four-acre corn maze, train rides, hayrides, face painting and gem mining are available for an additional fee.

Sweet Treat Tunk Or Treat

When: Thursday, Oct. 8, 2026, 5:30 to 7:30 p.m.
Where: Central Park | 24856 West Eames Street, Channahon

Stock up on Halloween goodies during Sweet Treat Trunk or Treat at Central Park on Thursday, Oct. 8, 2026, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. This free, all-ages event invites families to dress in costume or their favorite fall attire for trunk-or-treating, with a possible hayrack ride around the park adding to the evening’s fun.

Village Of Minooka Halloween Parade

When: Saturday, Oct. 24, 2026, 12 p.m.
Where: Minooka Elementary School | 400 West Coady Drive, Minooka

Costumes take over the streets during the Village of Minooka Halloween Parade on Saturday, Oct. 24, 2026. The 17th annual parade steps off at noon from Minooka Elementary School at Wabena Avenue and Coady Drive, with residents of all ages as well as local businesses, groups and churches welcome to participate.

Monster Mash 2026

When: Friday, Oct. 30, 2026, 6:30 p.m.
Where: Heritage Crossing Field House | 24935 West Sioux Drive, Channahon

Celebrate spooky season with the whole family at Monster Mash 2026 at Heritage Crossing Field House. This all-ages Halloween bash will feature music, games, treats and a costume contest, with admission priced at $15 or $10 for residents; register by Oct. 21 to join the fun.
