• Bloodshed, Beating For Chicago White Sox Fan As Woman 'Snapped' In Their Channahon Home: Prosecutors (patch.com) — Channahon residents are learning more about a serious domestic battery case in which police say 48-year-old Nicole Petropulos repeatedly struck a man with a folding chair in their South Donna Avenue home, injuring him in front of their children. Prosecutors describe binge drinking, efforts to block 911 calls, and a tense police response before her arrest; she's now free under strict sobriety conditions and due back in Will County court later this month.
   

• 'Trump Administration Is Coming After Me, New Investigation To Try To Silence Me': Adam Kinzinger (patch.com) — Residents following national politics may note that former Channahon congressman Adam Kinzinger says the Trump administration is targeting him with a new Commodity Futures Trading Commission investigation over small 2024 political bets he made as a private citizen. He told followers on Facebook he views the probe as intimidation for his criticism of Donald Trump, insists he did nothing wrong, and continues his work as a CNN political commentator.
   

• Channahon Woman, 48, Used Furniture Inside Her Home To Attack, Harm Other Family Members: Police (patch.com) — Channahon police arrested a 48-year-old local woman this week after officers say she struck a family member with a chair and interfered with a 911 call at a home on South Donna Avenue. The report also notes two other recent Channahon arrests, including a man charged with reckless discharge of a firearm after late-night gunshots near West Essex Drive and South Kent Road.
