• House Toilet Papered During Homecoming Week, Channahon Man Attacks Youth, Goes To Jail: Police (patch.com) — Channahon police say a 50-year-old local homeowner was jailed on aggravated battery charges after allegedly striking a juvenile in the face with a blunt object during a homecoming-week toilet-papering incident on West Quail Drive. Officers and Channahon EMS responded around 10:15 p.m. Monday, treated the injured youth, and notified parents, with the suspect due in court Wednesday afternoon.
   

• Twin Minooka seniors named Rotary students of the month (shawlocal.com) — Two Channahon sisters, Brooke and Aspen Daurer, have been honored as the Channahon-Minooka Rotary Club's September Students of the Month for their achievements at Minooka Community High School. The twins balance standout tennis seasons, strong GPAs, church involvement, and community service, and both plan to pursue nursing careers after graduation.
