• $4.1 million construction project on U.S. Route 6 in Grundy County begins Monday (shawlocal.com) — Expect significant delays on US Route 6 near Channahon starting Monday, as a $4.1 million IDOT project resurfaces nearly seven miles from Route 47 in Morris to just east of Tabler Road. Daytime lane closures and some nighttime work will last into late October, so plan extra travel time or alternate routes if you regularly drive this stretch.
